It's very big which is fine but theres no power for the pump so it's not a complete kit at all. Very odd. And optional lid would be good too. Or extra rockwool.

Same as others, save your money

First impressions the idea is good but on the whole it’s disappointing.
Out of the box
The plastic top is poor quality and that’s the part that will get more movement- having to remove to replace nutrients ect -the refill hole is not worth bothering- as to get water in that will be impossible.
Even with a funnel your be there an age and spillage will happen-
The nutrients I can’t trust as there is hardly any information on them about what I’m putting in - so won’t risk it - the size is incredible and I was not expecting-
The pump thing is useless there’s no power connection so this is more like kratky method than hydroponics- . A lid with vents would have been a better idea . Standard net cup would work better than the green things supplied- I don’t see my plants being in this container setup for very long .
Overall I’ll see what the growing results are but I’ve got doubts on weather there be positive. Time will tell -

I don’t want to come across too negative as I do like the basin design, the aesthetic and what it does / what it offers but can’t escape the fact this just feels a bit overpriced for the what it is.

Struggle to see where the costs come from. The plastic is not particularly thick or sturdy, and tiny pumps like the one provided are super cheap. The silicon net cups seem quite nice and perhaps where some of the cost comes from? And perhaps expensive to ship as quite large but then I payed for shipping anyway.

A suggestion to also offer a smaller version, I didn’t really clock how big it was till it arrived!

A note to prospective buyers it doesn’t come with a standalone power supply, pump has to be used with the Gathera light or source your own power supply, or through Gathera support can get a power supply but again that seems quite expensive compared to other power supplies. This could perhaps be made more clear on the website. Or even if the pump was a 5v one with usb plug so you could just use a simple usb charger for it would be better.

compared to the original basins I am a bit disappointed with the quality of the build, the plastic is quite rough in the finish. the pump is also much louder and runs the whole time which has become annoying. I have transferred the new net cups onto the original basins and they are working well so far
