A huge range of plants can be propagated by cutting. Here are some of our favourites.

Indoor plants suitable for propagation

• Pothos
• Most types of ivy
• Snake plant: cut a leaf across its length and place the cut end in water
• String of hearts, pearls or bananas: make sure no leaves are in the water and take 15 to 20cm snippets of vine
