    Greenhouse Seedling Tray

Would you like to add rockwool cubes?

Achieve faster and healthier seed germination with our Rockwool Germination Greenhouse Kit, specifically designed to create an optimal high-humidity environment for seedlings. This compact greenhouse provides the ideal conditions for hydroponic germination, ensuring your plants grow stronger and more efficiently.

    Features

Why Choose Our Greenhouse Kit for Rockwool Germination?

Our greenhouse kit is perfect for germinating rockwool in hydroponics, enabling your seeds to germinate and develop quickly before transferring them to your main hydroponic garden. The high humidity and extra warmth inside the greenhouse accelerate growth, so you can utilize your primary growing space for mature plants.

    • Germinate 18 Seedlings: This kit is designed to fit the 25x25x40mm Grodan rockwool cubes, seamlessly integrating into the Gathera ecosystem. Match your seedling growth to our Sun Basin, Heirloom Tower, or Heirloom Garden, or Sun Shelf with ease.
    • Compact & Efficient Design: Save space in your main hydroponic system by starting your seeds in the greenhouse. With compact dimensions of 190x120x40mm, it’s the perfect addition to any hydroponic setup.
    • Transparent Lid for Monitoring: The clear lid allows you to keep an eye on your seedlings without disrupting their environment. Plus, it’s designed to fit within the basin, so condensation drips back into the tray, maintaining consistent moisture levels.
    • Durable & Easy to Clean: Constructed from PET material, the tray and dome have smooth surfaces and large inner radiuses, making cleaning simple and quick. It’s also recyclable through most household recycling bins, so you can be eco-friendly while growing your garden.
    • Allows healthy root growth: The greenhouse design suspends the rockwool cubes in water, allowing their roots to grow out into nutrient rich water. This results in long healthy roots which perform better when transplated into your main hydroponic system.

    Instructions

The set comes with instructions, but if you're a keen cookie here's how you can get started.

How to Use the Rockwool Germination Greenhouse Kit:

    1. Place the germination tray inside the growing basin, ensuring it is securely positioned.

    2. Fully soak your rockwool cubes in water until they are saturated. This will provide the necessary moisture for seeds to begin sprouting.

    3. Insert each soaked rockwool cube into the slots in the tray. Add 2-5 seeds per cube, depending on the plant variety you're growing. Cover the setup with the humidity dome to create a high-humidity environment ideal for seed germination.

    4. Keep the lid on until your seeds have sprouted and developed their first set of true leaves, usually within 1-2 weeks. Once seedlings are established, remove the dome to allow fresh air circulation and promote stronger growth.

    5. You can choose to add nutrients from the beginning at the recommended ratios on your nutrient bottle, which will boost growth. However, this may increase the risk of algae. A safer strategy is to wait until roots are visible at the bottom of the rockwool cubes before introducing nutrients.

    6. Once your seedlings have strong roots, they are ready to be transplanted into your hydroponic system or soil-based garden. You can gently push them out from below the tray, or lift them out by gently pulling the stem (depending on what type of plant you're growing!).

By following these simple steps, you'll have healthy seedlings ready to grow in no time! For best results, research the specific germination needs of your chosen seeds.
